Hey Now

Food Truck Nerd Podcast Episode 12
CIMG1203

Last week I pointed out that winter is fast approaching…then of course the weather was beautiful all week (Yay Area!). At least it was until Friday night which was cold and rainy, and naturally the one night I decided to go out to Feast at the Flea at the San Jose Flea Market. It mattered not; I still had a great time hanging out with food truck folks at Soulnese (who organized the event) and Treatbot. Special thanks to Le Bon for rolling out the V.I.P. treatment for me and hooking me up with an awesome pork belly sandwich!

  • MoBowl has organized a canned food drive to give back to the community. Through November, bring a canned item or items to MoBowl, Eat on Monday, O Mi Ninja, or Bigg Shrimp’n and receive $1 off your order. (O Mi Ninja’s offer is a little different.) The cans will be donated to Second Harvest Food Bank, a great cause.
  • Watch this highly entertaining segment of the 7Live local news show featuring host Lizzie Bermudez and Chef Rana Salujah (or is it Kapoor?) of Curry Up Now. The web page also has some Indian recipes perfect for an international Thanksgiving feast. The video gets pretty steamy…hot grill-on-grill action. Now I know why they call it “Foodie Call”.
