The Family That Nerds Together
Food Truck Nerd Podcast Episode 18
We had to miss Moveable Feast on January 30 because the whole family spent the day at Macworld | iWorld Expo in San Francisco, ogling apps, fondling accessories, and awkwardly avoiding the gaze of skankily-clad booth babes. There were no food trucks for us there that day, but the previous night we did go to Berryessa to hang out with MoGo, just like we used to back in the early days. Ah, flashbacks.

I asked them if they had street food in China and they answered yes: hot dogs and ice cream. We took them to Moveable Feast and in addition to beef and chicken skewers from An The Go and Froot Loops ice cream from Scoops, they thoroughly enjoyed the Fried Chicken platters from Soulnese. The meeting of East and West was particularly poignant that weekend because it led up to Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. The Dream is alive. (more…)January 2, 2012

The Week Without a Food Truck
Food Truck Nerd Podcast Episode 16

Happy New Year! Incidentally I also celebrated a birthday last week. Check out this adorable birthday card my Mom drew for me. She knows me so well. Since it was the year-end holiday week, many trucks went on hiatus so I did too. It wasn’t easy. Hopefully we’re all tan, rested, and hungry for 2012. (more…)
